Better resources to be provided to Raja Mansingh Tomar Music University

Minister for Culture and Public Relations Shri Laxmikant Sharma reviewed the activities of Raja Mansingh Tomar Music University, Gwalior here today. He instructed the officers to expedite works of university's set-up and other resources. Vice-Chancelloer of Raja Mansingh Tomar Music and Arts University Prof. Dr. Chitranjan Jyotishi and Secretary Culture Shri Manoj Shrivastava were also present at the meeting.

The meeting discussed additional arrangements of building of the music university. It also finalised the mono of the music university which depicts music and fine arts, painting, sculpture, dance as token signs. The construction of new building of the university and availability of government land for it were also discussed.

The meeting also took up for discussion the issues pertaining to finance committee, board of education and executive committee. Instructions were given to convene the general body meeting at the earliest.

The Culture Minister also discussed courses of the university. He instructed that all the important courses of music and arts should be included in the syllabus. He said that the state government has established this university with a view to giving fillip to music and arts and attracting youths towards these fields. He instructed to undertake integrated action in connection with the university set-up. The meeting also discussed the university budget.
