23 June : The launching function of Vahan and Sarathi programe at Regional Transport Office Mokokchung was held on 23rd June 2009 with Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung, C.M Tsanglao as the Chief Guest. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest stated that as we are living in a sophisticated world endowed with faster and better communication services we should be capable and efficient enough to take full advantage of the technology and also to guard ourselves from its misuse.
RTO, Mokokchung, E. Lotha delivered the welcome address while Er. Lanusungkum Aier, Principal Systems Analyst, NIC Kohima highlighted some of the aspects and working system of Vahan and Sarathi programme which is a client server technology to provide faster connectivity under National e-Governance Plan. S.P Mokokchung and District Informatics Officer, NIC Mokokchung also spoke on the occasion. Vote of thanks was pronounced by MVI, Mokokchung.
