Chief Election Commission asked to cancel registration of B.J.P. as a national recognized political party and to freeze its symbol of ‘Lotus’

Chandigarh. June 15, 2009 : The Akhil Bhartiya Adhiatmic Utthan Mandal have submitted representation to the Chief Election Commission of India for deregistration/or canceling the registration of B.J.P. as a national political party and has also prayed for freezing its symbol of 'Lotus'.

In the representation signed by Shri Mohan Lal Sharma, President and Mr. Nasib Singh Gill Former Deputy Speaker of Punjab as Member of the Akhil Bhartiya Adhiatmic Utthan Mandal it is alleged that the Hindus who form majority in India are both a civilization and a conglomerate of religions. The Hinduism is based on the idea of universal receptivity. It is a secular and tolerant faith and know no hostility or hat redness towards any other religious faiths.

The representation further contains that unfortunately the Bhartiya Janta Party, ever. since its registration as a national political party, for its personal unfair political gains have always strived hard to divide the Indian society on communal lines. The B.J.P. have thus grossly violated the statutory undertaking that it gave u/s 29A of the Representation of Peoples Act, 1951 to the commission that "it shall bear true faith and allegiance to the Constitution of India as by law established and to the principles of socialism, secularism and democracy and uphold the sovereignty, unity and integrity of India.

It is further alleged in the representation that the prominent members of the B.J.P. have always spread communal venom. But the B.J.P. high commands instead of taking action against them have always honoured them by giving important political assignments.

The representation quotes the sayings of Mr. Lal Ji Tondon former B.J.P. minister who in his election from Lucknow assembly seat in year 2007 said "The day is not far off when we all be afraid of even calling ourselves a Hindu. You will not find Sohan Lal, Mohan Lal, Atma Ram or Radha Krishan anywhere. Wherever you turn you will see only an Abbas or Naqvi or Maulvi. They want to make India into Pakistan."

Mr. Yogi Aditya Nath, B.J.P. M.P. is notorious for his Muslim Seditimzs hashings. He raised slogan "Musalman Ke Do Hi Sathi, Pakistan ya Kabarstan."Mr. Varun Gandhi (Now B.J.P. Member Parliament) while campaigning in his election in Pilibhit, in a meeting asked the Sikhs and Muslims to walk out of his meetings. He called Sikhs as terrorists as they murdered his grandmother. He made hate-speeches. Even the Election Commission condemned and censured Varun Gandhi for his hate and inflammatory speeches.

In 1991, Dr. Dass Rao Deshmukh, then B.J.P. candidate from Nanded assembly constituency made appeal to voters "If a Muslim would try to destroy Hinduism in Hindustan, the public would not keep quiet, but take out the intestines like that of Afzul Khan. Muslims are loyal to Pakistan. Urdu should not be the one of languages of Hindustan.

Quoting many such instances in the representation, it is alleged that the B.J.P. by its conduct and behavior has not stood to the principles on which this association or body was based. The B.J.P. has derailed itself from the policies, aims and objects that it undertook to pursue in national interest. Instead of strengthening secular tendencies in the national fabric, it has spread venom of communalism that has disturbed public order and public peace. It is further alleged that the B.J.P. is revolutionizing the process of dividing the country on communal lines. Thus it has endangered the sovereignty, unity and integrity of India. Thus the B.J.P. have lost all its right to continue as a recognized national political Party.

The Election Commission of India is requested to presence, protect and promote the secular creed of Indian nation by deregistering B.J.P. as a politicalparty and by freezing its symbol of 'Lotus' and crush with heavy hands such communalists and political opportunists.
